Newcrest Dividend Yield and History

Gold price has recently been on a tear given investor apprehension to all of the unfunded government stimulus as result of Covid.

Share price of the gold miners tracked the broader gold price (and gold etfs) Newcrest is the largest gold miner listed on the ASX.

Newcrest Dividend Yield

Gold miners are not known for their dividend yields and Newcrest is no different. The low dividend yield is result of the relatively high multiple gold miners always traded relative to the rest of the market which is result of investors values the unmined ores in the ground as much as the ongoing cash flow of the business.
